The United Nations World Autism Awareness Day falls on 2nd April 2011. The UK Autism Foundation has urged World Leaders to act on Autism to mark WAAD and to Speak Up for Autism.

Here in the UK we have appealed to Prime Minister David Cameron and the Coalition Government to protect the vulnerable from the sweeping welfare reforms, from the cuts to welfare benefits and the cuts to public services. We are deeply concerned about the proposed cuts and changes to the disability living allowance. Life is hard as it is for parents, carers and the Autism Community in the United Kingdom.
