The Chilean Miner, Jose Henriquez was presented with his first ever Autism Awareness Ribbon by Ivan Corea of UKAF. Jose Henriquez was speaking at All Saint's Church, Woodford Wells who are observing Autism Sunday on 13th February 2011 at 11.15 a.m..

Ivan Corea said: 'Jose Henriquez is an amazing man of faith and it helped him to survive 69 days underground with 32 other miners. I was deeply moved to hear his story. He was telling us how the Chilean miners survived on a teaspoon of sardines and very little else. It is a wonderful story of survival.'

Ivan Corea spoke to Jose Henriquez about Autism Sunday and he was interested to see the autism ribbon. An autism awareness ribbon was also presented to Reverend Alf Cooper, Chaplain to His Excellency Sebastián Piñera,President of Chile.

Jose Henriquez was the 24th Miner to be rescued - the 33 miners were trapped more than 600 meters underground for over two months after a rock collapse. To view the rescue of Jose Henriquez please access this film on youtube:
